The Howard Goodson Story

 

One of our customers recently did research on the naming of the Howard Goodson daylily. Howard Goodson was a Professor at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, teaching in the art department. He was also an avid gardener. Shortly before his death, daylily breeder Lorene Fields Smith bred a new daylily and named it after her friend. This beautiful daylily still grows in the University Arboretum in Tuscaloosa. We are delighted to have this unique daylily in our collection!
