VERY LATE BLOOMING DAYLILIES

At Tranquil Lake Nursery, a few daylilies will bloom through September and October and right up until frost, well past the traditional daylily (Hemerocallis) season of late June through mid-August. These very late blooming varieties will add color and interest to your late season garden. The very-late blooming daylilies listed below are in good supply. We have smaller numbers of many other very late blooming flowers.We ship healthy double-fan divisions or clumps (4-5 fans), unless other-wise indicated. AUTUMN KING ( Stout) 48", D., V.L. $15.00 Many cadmium yellow flowers are held high on this tall and stately daylily with multiflora branching. An ageless accent that commands attention in the late garden.
AUTUMN MINARET (Stout) 66", S.Ev., M.L. toV.L. $12.00 Extra late blooming, very tall, yellow with faint red overlay. Candelabra branching gives it a super bud count. A welcome addition to the late garden. Fragrant altissima hybrid spider of medium size. Extended blooming.
BACK TO SCHOOL (Sobek) 42", D., V.L. $45.00 A true very late daylily for the garden. This small flower is a rose-red self with a green throat. It has a slightly darker eye and light mid-ribs. All segments recurve slightly. Its bloom season is a welcome addition to the late summer garden. (2003 Introduction).
BLACK-EYED STELLA (Roberson) 13", D., E. to V.L., 3 1/4" $10.00 Yellow gold with red eyezone. Very long blooming and very floriferous. Attractive blue-green foliage. Nocturnal and reblooms. All American Daylily Selection (P.P. #7909)
BOUTONNIERE (Stout) 42", D., M.L. to V.L. $10.00 Tiny diamond-dusted red, orange and tan multiflora. Unique color. Showy, large clusters of flowers on tall stalks for the late garden.
ELEGANT FINALE (Stamile) 28", D., V.L., 6" $20.00 Pastel orchid with deep orchid eyezone and green throat. Extended blooming. Limited.
ELFIN STELLA (Jablonski) 11", D., Ex.E. to V.L., 1 1/2" $8.00 Tiny, true yellow descendent of Stella de Oro is excellent for rock gardens and edging. Increases very rapidly. Nocturnal and reblooms. Great for the front of the border.
FOREVER STELLA (Jablonski) 14", D., E.x.E to V.L., 2 1/2" $6.00 Child of Stella de Oro that is even more floriferous, if that can be pictured. Fragrant yellow nocturnal rebloomer. Perfect in pots or the front of the border.
GOODBYE COLUMBUS (Abraham) 46", D., M.L. to V.L., 4 1/2" $35.00 Strong, tall scapes display masses of triangular gold flowers. Petals are slightly recurved and pinched. It's late season and exceptionally high bud count (up to 50 per scape) add a colorful fanfare to the late season border.
HUBERT BOND OWENS (Woods) 35", D., V.L., 7" $15.00 Very large, flaring brilliant late red with showy green throat. Narrow gold wire edging on segments. A stunning season extender. Very limited.
IRISH SUN (Elliott) 20", S.Ev., V.L., 6" $30.00 Yellow daylily with lighter edge. Fragrant and extended blooming.
LAST QUARTER (Hathaway) 30", D., V.L., 6 1/2" $15.00 Large, clear lemon yellow with open spider form. Crisp substance adds quality to the end of the season. Fragrant.
MAY MAY (Hayward) 30", S.Ev., E. to V.L., 3 1/2" $10.00 Very pale, creamy yellow with green throat that looks near white from a distance. Nocturnal, fragrant and reblooms. Good bud count and long season make it a good choice for any garden. Blooms from June through September in the fields at Tranquil Lake Nursery.
PUMPKIN TIME (Sobek) 37", D., L. to V.L., 5 1/4" $15.00 Brilliant golden-orange daylily. This bud builder that starts blooming late and continues on and on until a killing frost stops it. An excellent addition to the late garden.
RICHARD (Norton) 48", D., L. to V.L. $15.00 This tall, medium-orange spider flower is exceptional for its late season of bloom.
SANDRA ELIZABETH (Stevens) 28", D., V.L., 6" (T) $30.00 Late-blooming, brilliantly glowing apricot-yellow flower with heavy corduroy texture. Marvelous foreground variety. Very Limited.
SEPTEMBER BLAZE (Lachman) 30", D., V.L., 7" (T) $40.00 The scapes display large deep pink flowers highlighted by lighter midribs and yellow-green throat. Good bud count, offers an extended season and late bloom. Very Limited.
SEPTEMBER WINNER (Saxton) 26", D., V.L. $15.00 Large greenish-yellow spider like daylily. Brightens the late garden.
STELLA DE ORO (Jablonski) 11", Ev., E. to V.L., 2 3/4" $5.00 This marvelous, small flowered bright yellow-gold miniature with a green throat is well deserving of all its praise. It starts blooming early and sends up new flower scapes until frost. Fragrant and low growing. H.M., A.M. and Stout Medal Awards.
SWEET BUTTER CREAM (Bearce) 32", S.Ev., L. to V.L. $20.00 Glowing yellow that blooms for five to six weeks. Turns heads in the late season garden. Fragrant.
TAHITIAN SUNRISE (Bearce) 30", D., L. to V.L. $18.00 A deep burnt scarlet red with a yellow throat. This heavy bloomer brings a warm color to the later garden.
THREE SEASONS (Sobek) 21", D., Ex.E. to V.L., 2 2/3" $15.00 Miniature, light yellow jewel with a small green throat. Reblooms, almost spanning the daylily season here, with nine buds per scape and 3 or 4 scapes per fan. Nocturnal and extended blooming.
TINY STELLA (Jablonski) 10", D., Ex.E., 2" $8.00 Petite gold nocturnal with green throat. Very low growing. Perfect for pots or the front of the garden. Reblooms.
WEE WILLIE WINKIE (Richards) 36", D., V.L., 2" $15.00 Tiny bells of clear light yellow borne on many branched scapes. Profuse blooming. One of the latest daylilies to bloom here. Limited.
